Ronald Nelson is an award-winning entrepreneur, animator, and illustrator from New York City. He studied at schools such as the School of Visual Arts, The Art Student’s League and Cooper Union; all based out of New York. Ronald’s most notable exhibits were at the Adobe Art Center in Castro Valley and The Jazz Heritage Center in San Francisco. He’s created artwork for Troma Films, drawing the comic adaptations for their movies; most notable were Tromeo & Juliet, Terror Firmer, and Sergeant Kabukiman. His most celebrated work to date is his illustration work for (H)afrocentric: The Comic, a series about multi-ethnic college students that has been covered in the press through more than 30 plus newspaper and magazine articles. His work can be purchased online, as well as more than a dozen bookstores nationwide. The same work is also featured in the Encyclopedia of Black Comics and Black Comix Returns, which is available everywhere, including your local public library. Ronald’s areas of expertise are in the fields of animation, storyboarding, character design and sequential art.
